Ingredients: Meatballs: -16 oz ground turkey or pork -1/4 onion, minced -1 celery stick, minced -1/2" cube ginger, minced -3-4 cloves garlic, minced -2 Tbsp soy sauce -2 Tbsp ketchup -1/4 cup panko bread crumb -2 tsp salt -1 tsp pepper Chili Glaze: -15 oz tomato sauce -8 oz sweet chili sauce (more or less depending on how spicy you like it) -Salt to taste Sandwich/toppings: -French Baguette (we used hoagie rolls because that's what we could get) -pickled red onion -pickled or fresh jalapeno, sliced -Cucumber, thinly sliced -cilantro -Sweet chili Mayo -pickled carrots (not pictured because we did not have carrot) Instructions: 1) Mix the ground turkey, onion, celery, ginger, soy sauce, ketchup, bread crumb, salt and pepper. Roll meatballs to desired size. 2) Over medium heat brown the meatballs on two sides, then add the tomato sauce and sweet chili sauce and stir. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer until meatballs are fully cooked through. (Cooking times will vary depending size of meatballs) 3) Build your delicious sandwich and enjoy Notes: 1) Can use gluten free panko bread crumbs if you are gluten free 2) Also for gluten free, make a "fat chip" to serve on. Bake a potato and then slice 1/4" thick and pan fry until crispy. Top with desired toppings just like the sandwich 3) If you want the recipe for the pickled red onion, jalapeno, or the sweet chili mayo DM me on Instagram. Those recipes will be coming out later but if you need them now please let me know. Please if you have any questions DM me on instagram. Make sure to post a pic and tag us when you try it! Thank you :)
