Kalua Pork
Ingredients: - 4 lbs Bone in pork shoulder - 4 Tbsp Hawaiian Pink Salt or Sea Salt - 4 Tbsp Liquid smoke - 1/2 Head of cabbage, 2" squares (optional) - 3 cups of water Instructions: 1) Preheat the oven to 350F. Rub the pork shoulder with the liquid smoke and the Salt 2) Place the cabbage on heavy duty foil, and place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the cabbage and wrap the foil up the sides of the pork. 3) Place in a baking dish, add 3 cups of water to the baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 4-5 hours or until pork falls off the bone. Notes: 1) Banana leaves are better to wrap the pork, if you have access to them, will add sweetness. 2) Himalayan pink salt is another great substitute for the Hawaiian Salt. Make sure to use coarse salt and not table salt otherwise it will be too salty 3) If you have access to an Imu well no need for the liquid smoke ;) Please if you have any questions DM me on instagram. Make sure to post a pic and tag us when you try it! Thank you :)
